I did one of those a few years ago: oops, I forgot to size it, be right back  It's been heartwarming to read all the tributes to Ray Harryhausen on the internet. Almost none of them coming from people who knew him personally, just fans like me who were touched by the, I don't know, sheer sincerity and invention of his work. | |

| Thanks Joe and Alissa, of course the heavy lifting here was all done by Ray Harryhausen. It was a blast just gathering reference featuring his amazing characters. | |

| I like how economically the characters are done, but even so you can still tell these are the movie versions of the Avengers, very nice! | |

Actually, I still haven't seen The Avengers yet, apart from catching the last thirty minutes or so when my wife and older daughter were watching it on DVD.
I drew the piece without reference one afternoon when I was at the park with my younger girl, which is why I stuck Hawkeye in the background; I could not for the life of me remember how his costume was supposed to look. | |
