Star Trek Catan?

A Star Trek version of Catan? Just saw this at Target last night while getting grass seed, (stupid dried up dead lawn). I've never played Catan, but I've heard a lot about it including that it's pretty fun and educational. I'm seriously intrigued at how this would translate into a Star Trek context. Not sure if it's worth $50-70 either. Anyone play it yet? Or Catan itself, curious if it's really any good.
