| After seeing that last Indiana Jones, I would be okay with Harrison Ford NOT playing Han Solo in a future Han Solo film. | |

| We have no idea yet what time period the next SW movie is going to portray, do we? Would it be set after "Return of the Jedi", or in between the two trilogies?
Harrison Ford was pretty good as a grizzled, angry old rancher in "Cowboys and Aliens." He was not jumping and doing fancy stunts, but he portrayed a convincing old soldier with fighting experience and savvy. If that was the kind of character he played as an older Han Solo, that might have possibilities. Maybe he would have become a canny politician as Princess Leia's consort. Or maybe he would have retreated to some backwater to run his own cantina, if he was not able to adapt to a life of respectability. Maybe he would be the big boss of his own smuggler gang, filling the void left by Jabba's death. Lots of different ways that could turn out.
If they wanted to do a movie set between the trilogies, maybe somebody like Bradley Cooper could do a convincing young Han Solo? Though there might be problems with that, since part of the appeal of Solo in the original films was his journey from rogue to hero. A story of him in unredeemed rogue mode might be less interesting.
So many ways for these movies to go! So many ways for them to fail! It's scary to contemplate!

Nope. He marries Princess Leia Organa in the book The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton. The couple has three children: Jacen, Jaina, and Anakin who were all trained as Jedi Knights. Jacen turned to the dark side and became Darth Caedus. Before that, he and Tenel Ka, Hapan Queen Mother and Jedi Knight, had a daughter, named Allana. If you read the books.

| I'm excited for the Star Wars movies all around.
My feeling is that with Harrison Ford returning, and more than likely Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, the focus will be on a younger set of characters with the elder originals in supporting roles. On another forum I frequent someone mentioned the idea of having a female lead, and someone else mentioned that female lead could be Han Solo's granddaughter. I love this idea and think it'd work great.
In any case, should be good!
