| What have we learned today?
Stay out of the admin account unless absolutely necessary, and don't mess with anything that doesn't absolutely need messing.

| So..as far as more intermediate progress on a sketch/idea, should each have their own thread? Or...
would it be cool to just have a "Next stages of..." thread to show progression or evolution of an idea?

I think you might be over-thinking it but sure go ahead, no stress, we have infinite space.

My fault. There were two warm-up sketch threads. The old one and one marked 2013. Combined they should've been more pages, I think. I ran across the "Merge discussion" function while I was in the admin account, and wanted t test it out. Merging the two sketch threads seemed logical, but I think I did something wrong and cut off the first page or so. The admin account, when you are in there, has all sorts of little buttons you can use to edit or manage things. There are little tiny boxes everywhere, each with a little tiny "x" in them, that if I accidentally click on one it will an alarm goes off and screams, "Are you sure you wanted to delete that? Oh well too late now!" Okay, so I exaggerate for effect, but I was in the admin account 'cause Peter asked me to convert the Olney thread to a regular discussion from an announcement, so it wouldn't float on top anymore, SO BLAME HIM for the whole mess!!!

Seriously. I agree. Very real looking. Very distinctive. It looks like you had a live model sitting for you. Thanks man. I started sketching my wife's face in the morning. Then I went to Starbucks and had an idea for a demon chick drinking a tentacle martini.

| Couple of sketches today. Yes, the floating heads have made an appearance before. This one was supposed to be Buzz Lightyear meets Gears of War. I'm still working on it, but I'm not done. I think I want to turn it into a larger piece. Anyway here is what it looks like so far. | |

| I wasn't happy with my post-it sketch from earlier today, and so I decided to do a study with cone/sphere and cartoons from my memory w/the exception of the central figure based off of watterson's shapes of calvin's head, which if you look at it is an embedded sphere inside of a cone like an ice cream shape. That coupled with Joe Lee and Guy's mentioend of blue pencils, I found a brokend in half col-erase non-photo blue pencil that I had to keep sharpening because it's so damn waxy and went for it, blasting punk music on pandora. I didn't have the eraser end or this pencil so i just hoped for the best and went for it. I can probably take a reguler hb/no.2 pencil over these and play with line weights or depths etc. | |

| Former Ed Koch Intermediate School 56 Janitor Luis Salinas. Also known as Mister Hate, eyeball tattooed, deranged, self-proclaimed arch-enemy of Dr. Not. I'll post his costume designs later. This was a sketch done while talking to Johnny earlier today. | |

I love retro future designs. This has an old Flash Gordon vibe to it. Good stuff.

| Today's Bit: This makes 2 weeks in a row Guy and I have been posting our weekly sketches. Meaning that by splitting up the week it seems to work for us. Now we'll see what happens next as far as working towards more finished stuff at least from my end. I'm also trying to work in a photoshop tutorial weekly and eventually more than a couple times a week. need a schedule...need a schedule, lots to learn, LOTS TO LEARN!! | |

| Ouch! Eyeball tattoo, Guy? Geez, that hurts just thinking about it! Although injury-to-the-eye IS a time-honored comic book trope, so I can't really complain. Man, Hunter, that lizard boxer also brings the pain! I think I'll take a few advil before bed tonight, just in case of bad dreams... | |
