Game of Thrones vs. Dr. Strange

George R. R. Martin, wants to write Dr. Strange, but he has an impossible condition. "But, he'd only do it if he had an 'iron-clad' agreement that his story would never be retconned or undone." He does have super-hero experience, anyone remember the Wildcards books?

Impossible it right. Why not forget about Doctor Strange and do a creator owned comic? It'd sell huge.

He already has creator owned Superhero series too! They were a series of novels, but it was a shared universe series so he and a bunch of other authors are all the creators. They were adapted to comics if I recall correctly, (wikiconfirmed). I never saw the comics but I had a roomate in college who had some of the novels.
