I saw the Phantom Mini series on dvd. Per Greg's recommendation. I missed it when it first came out. The modern updating they did worked very nicely I thought, and the actors were pretty good, the love interest was a cutie, but the show had one great performances, the female Guran was hauntingly sad, and conflicted. I thought there was a great deal of depth to mine later in a series. All in all it was a pretty good pilot for a TV show. They set up a series very nicely. It was a shame they didn't pick it up.

The exterior skull cave set looked like a bad episode of Monster House, and the costume itself was to bulky, especially the helmet, it looked very odd on screen. Trim down the suit a bit, and trade a domino mask for the helmet and they would have been good to go. And maybe a nice matte painting for the skull cave?

I thought the suits high collar looked fine, when the character had the helmet off it wasn't too bad, but it looked better when he wore a long black coat over it. Yeah, get rid of the helmet and give him a hi-tech mask with built in lenses and listening devices it would have looked much better and fit in with the spirit of the show.

I rented the Phantom 2040 movie like you recommended. It was weird but cool. I liked it. Netflix has only the movie, you said there was a couple of seasons? Is it on DVD?

Great product reviews, DitkoFan! I've always had an interest in The Phantom character, but his adventures in other media besides the original strip vary widely in quality, so this was very useful. Thanks, and 'purple reign'-- killer!

Thankyou kindly, but I can't take credit for the title. Greg helped out a lot, I couldn't come up with anything all too clever but he gave me about a halfadozen bad puns to choose from. In a matter of minutes. He has obviously gone over to the dark side. No

Congratulations go to Terry (Ditko fan), your review "Purple reign" got 93 pageviews so far, second place to, "The ex-porn queen in the Princess Leia cosplay contest at the Olive Gardens of Mars!" an article which I believe probably benefited from several of the terms used in the title, disappointing many googlers while not getting any actual readers.
