Great fun.

Huge.

They did a great job with scale and size. The audience I saw it with, was applauding through the whole thing. This new Godzilla was way bigger and better than the Matthew Broderick version. More satisfying than Pacific Rim (which i liked but felt it lacked a lot of things ).

It occasionally used some similar style choices in story telling as Cloverfield, when focusing on the human characters. There were a couple of plot devices used to keep one of the main characters on the parallel  path as Godzilla that seemed a bit contrived. And it got dangerously close at a few points, to being as over explainy as Ang Lee's Hulk, but luckily it didn't.

Some really great monster moments too, and all the great Godzilla moments you could want.

Not sure if I'm understanding your point about The Hulk but I liked the new Godzilla too. If you're meaning that some of the "explainy" -ness started to get a little confusing, but stopped before it got too bad? I can see that, I got a wee bit confused at a couple points, and some people were talking pretty loud in the row behind me. So somehow I may have missed something. I couldn't figure where they saying that the new Godzilla was the target of, and not created by, atomic testing? I got a little lost there.

Breaking Bad was pretty good in the thing, I wish that he would have been on screen more.

It was really good in general. Best Godzilla film I've ever seen.
