Paul Rudd & Michael Douglas are both ANTMAN!

Paul Rudd will be Scott Lang and Michael Douglas will be Hank Pym. No news on Giant Man, Goliath, Yellowjacket or Wasp. I'm not sure I like the choice, and the plot description over at IMDB doesn't have Pym ever being Ant Man.

I could be okay with both. Especially if there is some sort of nod to Hank Pym having been the original Ant Man not just the inventor of the tech. I'd be happy with just newspaper clippings of the original Ant Man suit, even something like Mr. Incredible's office with stuff all over the walls. Along with the Wasp, would be cool. Or you can toss Janet Van Dyne into the same bin with Rick Jones and the other movie continuity casualties.

Catherine Zeta Jones as the Wasp maybe?

The Wasp will be Pym's daughter. May or may not be Janet Van Dyne, but the female lead (love interest) IS Pym's daughter. WTF

Okay, I think I need to erase from my mind the knowledge that they are working on this movie. I have way too much interest invested in it already, and that's just setting myself up for disappointment. Already, following the news about it is making me crazy, all these ups and downs. It'll come out when it comes out, I'll see it then, and I'll be better off the less I know.

Aw, who am I kidding? I'll probably be following Edgar Wright's blog on a daily basis for the next two years, obsessively chewing over every scrap of info or teaser image. Darn it! It's like Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World all over again!

I'm with you, I wish I could just not know about this movie until its ready.

I've got a special place in my heart for the Pyms. I was the one and only regular at my LCS that pre-ordered the Essential Ant-man book. But I haven't always been happy with how they've been portrayed in the comics, but i liked the Avengers series on DXD, they took Hank from Ant Man to Yellow Jacket and Scott Lang all in one season. And did so without turning Hank into a wife beater.

And the two Ultimate Avengers animated direct-to-video movies did a really nice job with the character. He had issues but was still a hero. Relatable but not a wife beater.
