Anyone planning on seeing this?

I gotta admit after seeing the guy at the convention, the trailers kinda make me uncomfortable. Not because of the politics, just that it looks like there isn't much difference between the characters and the real guy. I just don't want to see Eastwood deteriorating like that. It's hard enough in real life dealing with a family member slowly deteriorating physically and mentally, I don't want to see an action hero doing it. The Expendables was okay, but I don't want to see any of those guys kicking around furniture or barking at a chair.

I didn't watch Eastwood's convention speech, I just heard it was embarrassing. So without that context, the trailer looked okay to me. Dunno if I really wanna see the movie, though.

One of my favorite movies is Eastwood's Unforgiven, which is also about a gunslinger in decline, although maybe not this far along. I think I could deal with Eastwood's character here.

I'm not really a fan of Justin Timberlake, although I respect that he's come a long way from his Mouseketeer roots.

Amy Adams is cute, and I always think I would like to see her movies, but I've never gotten around to seeing any of them. And then last week I heard a radio interview with her, where they asked her about Eastwood's convention speech, and about the Scientology connection of the other big movie she's in now (The Master), and rather than answer, she got kinda huffy and said something like "I keep being asked about these two things that I have no responsibility for at all." Which is fine, sure, I can see why she's annoyed. But it was just an unfriendly, humorless, and unappealing way to respond, contrary to her nice-girl image. So now I'm not really keen to see her in this. Which is unfair of me, I know, but oh well.
