I'm posting a series on Alex's site Poplitiko about A Princess of Mars, Edgar Rice Burrough's classic planetary romance which defined the genre and, although Disney did its best to keep people from knowing about it, was made into a movie last year.

I hope you enjoy it.

Very cool, looking forward to it! I'm a huge ERB fan, (even the Philip Jose Farmer stuff). affraid

---------------

FYI, you might be (or might not be), interested in some ERB related pieces we had done around here...

"Life On Mars"
A review we did about a recent Graphic Novel adaptation...

"Martian Exposure"
A cool response we received from the artist...
http://lxng.blogspot.com/2012/10/martian-exposure.html

"The ex-porn queen in the Princess Leia cosplay contest at the Olive Gardens of Mars!" Our second most viewed blog entry ever, that is mostly just a rant about how some people accidentally buying the crappy sci-fi channel/Asylum version of Princess of Mars DVD cunningly repackaged as John Carter, might get confused for the surprisingly not as bad as it was reviewed Disney John Carter...

While it is true I led the way and started Poplitiko Kurt is every bit as much the keeper of the flame there as I am. We've had many writers come and go. Kurt and I have been their since I think what 2008?
