| This has been around for several years, but was new to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFqAME7dx58 Joe got me thinking about Charlie X in the original Star Trek season and I'm nerdy enough that I wondered if the character ever made another appearance in The Next Generation or other later series. Well, no, but he is in this non-canon low budget flick set in the S.T. universe. Also the original Checkov and Uhura. They are in the first few minutes, there's more from early Trek, but I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't seen it yet. Nothing is on a par with what a major studio could do, but it's fun and would interest hardcore fans and completists, that's right, I'm looking at all of you! | |

I hadn't seen that one, there are a lot of actual actors in there. Some of those fan-made movies are pretty fun, but I can never get through them. I just don't understand why these people don't just make new stuff, create new creator owned things. What with all the work they put into these things I have a buddy from college who was involved with one of those groups, "Starship Farragut," I think they did three movies maybe more. One of their movies even has an homage to the animated series. My buddy is the guy in red shirt, Paul/Prescott... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2Wd0eZS6bMHe was the guest star in this one, based on the original crew... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-ncYhAlbAw

LOL, that's Liberace, right? So, I'm thinking the Trek character you're referencing would be Trelane. I remember the first time I watched that episode thinking, 'he's doing a Liberace impression'! Charlie X was a different child/god character though, seems like Star Trek had a lot of those!
