Creating retro Pulp art ImagineFX_willmurai.com_type

Last month's issue of Imagine FX magazine was their tribute to Pulp Art, their it's still on the newstands, but it's been a few weeks.

There is the usual great features, but all wth a pulp retro twist. Lots and lots of cool video demos and extras, free textures and photoshop brushes all with that tattered, aged, cover, or antiqued look. Plus a nice interview with Mark Schultz, the creator of Xenozoic Tales. And a history of pulp magazine cover art.

I have their Anatomy special and I was impressed.

I can't justify a subscription for a year, but maybe in time I can talk the wife into a 3 month subscription...

I'm gonna have to go go barnes and noble this weekend and look for that pulp issue.

subscription would cost a fortune, plus every issue isn't for everyone. so it's better to get off the newstand

...and it gives me something to do.

It'd be nice to go Barnes and Noble like I used to go to the comic book store every week.

Yeah, that's one of the few book stores that is still around, that still has a decent newstand. It's nice to see so many different magazines are still being published.
