| It is kinda funny which shows get remade and which don't.
I imagine that the Six Million Dollar Man in today's dollars would be the Six Billion Dollar Man? Also, I wonder if prosthetic limbs are common enough now that the whole idea of a cyborg is less sexy now? Probably a lot of people have friends or family members dealing with these clunky medical devices that help them function in their everyday lives, but they are also a lot of work and hassle, hardly the stuff of superheroics. Not to say that it couldn't be done, of course. It just might be a harder sell.

| Manimal. Wow. That takes me back. Now I'm fondly remembering the show, the close up of the hand flexing as he started to change, and other faves like Automan and Misfits of Science. I'm also surprised Jason Segel hasn't been tapped for a Greatest American Hero movie yet.
There really were a lot of genre shows in the 80's come to think of it. Not many lasted for very long, but the effort was there.

What a great idea. He'd be perfect. Who would work for the Robert Culp role, Denis Leary maybe?

Who would work for the Robert Culp role, Denis Leary maybe? Nice! Yes, Leary would work. He has the right amount of frazzled and smart aleck to fit the role. The Connie Sellecca role is the hardest to nail down though. Olivia Munn?

| I've thought about this a lot.
This was one of my favorite shows my wife liked it to, and think it helped her not complain about my reading and collecting comics. I was thinking more of a big budget film, with someone like Jesse Eisenberg (Zombie Land) as the flustered and odd, high school teacher Ralph Hinkley and Bruce Willis as gruff old near retirement FBI agent Bill Maxwell, and sure Olivia Munn is hott but I saw here in some bad sitcom, over-acting, I don't think she's big budget material. I was thinking of someone with more comedic chops, but still freakin' hot, like Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshal and Ted).

| That's not bad either. But that would be a much more serious film. | |
